Hello and welcome to SheldonWhitehouseSucks.com! This is a
non-commercial web site for airing citizen commentary about
Sheldon Whitehouse, who is a candidate for US Senate from state of
Rhode
Island. We think he is a lousy candidate. In a word, Sheldon sucks.
Our specific gripes are these. Sheldon:
ALLOWED CORRUPTION IN TRAFFIC COURT --In 1999, as RI AG, Sheldon
did nothing to
investigate and prosecute the $39 million in missing
funds at the embattled Traffic Court, apparently for political reasons.
ALLOWED CORRUPTION AT ROGER WILLIAMS MEDICAL CENTER --Also in
1999, Sheldon had proof
of wrong doing
at the hospital, yet did nothing. Sheldon claims that the hospital was
"unwilling
to press claims," but, criminal complaints by their very nature do not
consist of private party complaints; criminal complaints are complaints
by the state. Any first year
law student understands this.
FAVORED HIGHER SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES -- Sheldon's September 5,
2006 press release .."includes raising the amount of income subject to
Scoial Security payroll taxes." Get out your check books!
GOT BILL CLINTON'S SEAL OF APPROVAL --Does Rhode Island really
want a Senator who is hand picked for us by Bill Clinton?
CRITICIZED DONALD RUMSFELD --Sheldon's TV ads call for the
resignation of US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Why? Because the
terrorists don't like Rummy? Maybe if we got a weaker Defense
Secretary,
we would be defeated faster. Perhaps this is what the Defeatocrats
want. Opponent Linc Chafee properly calls this "grandstanding."
Sheldon's dismal record as RI AG and US Attorney shows that he cares
more about not upsetting the RI Democratic Party's apple cart.. than
about doing his job for the citizens. And Sheldon is not just out of
touch with his own state. He is also wacked out about national issues.
Sheldon is a typical Defeatocrat who harps on the Bush administration
about the war in Iraq, but offers no real solution. Sheldon tries to
sell us Dem brand snakeoil, that if Iraq is not a slam dunk after a few
years, it is a long term failure.
By Defeatocrat standards, WWII was a failure. From the start of WWII,
to the final liberation of Eastern Europe --after the fascism of Nazism
and then of Communism --it took nearly 50 years! Imagine if we had quit
WWII after only a few years. So, let's try to weave some historical
context and common sense into the idea that replacing radical Islamic
fundamentalism with democracy should happen overnight.
The Defeatocrat gospel, preached by Sheldon Whitehouse and US Senator
Jerk
Reed and many other Defeatocrats, that Iraq should automatically be on
a fast track, is rarely ever
questioned. Is the Middle East religious
fascism, spanning many countries, many continents, and many centuries
of strife, really less entrenched than the fascism of Hitler and
Stalin? Give us a break.
Security experts have said that a terrorist attack with a WMD on US
soil by
radical Islamic fundamentalists (perhaps a low yield nuke,
or perhaps a 'dirty' bomb) is not a question of 'if' --but, a question
of when.
Al Qaeda has already announced their intentions to do it. Yet, the
Defeatocrats bash the Patriot Act and undermine other measures to
neutralize the threat. When this
awful terrorist super-event happens, when a US city is actually
destroyed and 100,000
Americans are killed in one cataclysm --you will be able to thank the
Defeatocrats. They are already directly to blame for dividing and
weakening our country, and for valueing
their selfish partisanship over our national security.
Now how about state government? Most Defeatocrats point to GWB as the
root of all
evil, but the fact of the matter is that the RI Democratic Party rules
Rhode Island with an
iron fist (not the Republicans!) and it has made the RI government
corrupt
and RI the highest taxed state in the
union.
Of course, we all know that Sheldon was "bred" for the aristocracy, and
it is tragic to think that he might be denied his birthright. Linc
Chafee was also born with a silver spoon and Linc Chafee also been
weak about the Iraq war --but at least Chafee can be trusted. For all
his wealth, Chafee is a very down-to-Earth kind of guy. Chafee
bucked his own party, and was the lone Republican to vote against the
Iraq war.
You have to admire Chafee for that.
Whereas, Sheldon is the water boy for the Democrats. Do you think
Sheldon would have the guts to go against his party? Hahahaha, are you
kidding?! His record proves he would not. Sheldon is "owned" by his
party.
Sheldon should go get a job with his ol' buddy Bill Clinton. In the
recent
Bill Clinton interview on Fox News, it became clear that Bill Clinton
is
now trying to re-write history and retroactively makeover his weak
foreign policy record, a true disaster which fostered the growth of
terrorism and harmed our country. Now Bill Clinton wants to be re-cast
as a tough, uncompromising visionary. What a joke!
Maybe Clinton needs a loyal Democratic party soldier to help
him spread the party propaganda. Sheldon Whitehouse would be perfect
for that role. US Senator Jerk Reed would
also fit the bill. Jerk Reed is also a Clinton cronie and an
embarassment to our state.
Do
we really need TWO US Senators
who are both Clinton cronies
and both Democratic Party
stooges?
Linc Chafee may not be Hubert Humphrey, but he sure looks great
compared to
Sheldon.

Opponents
Senator
Lincoln Chafee --A very likeable, independent guy. Seems to
really care about the issues and doing the right thing. Not a sweeping
reformer and strong leader like Steve Laffey, but
certainly a guy worthy of respect.

Senatorial Committee. Bought ads slamming Sheldon for his proposed
higher Social Security taxes.
